Abstract:

This tutorial will cover basic aspects of graphical models. It is aimed at beginners as well as researchers in other areas who are interested in knowing more about the field. We will cover the basic theory of Bayesian Networks and Markov Random Fields, as well as the fundamental algorithms for performing probabilistic inference and learning in these models. Examples of applications in a variety of areas will also be discussed.
